Lexington, KY – Messiah College women's volleyball player
Jane Underman was honored by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) on Wednesday as an All-American. In her sophomore campaign, Underman received an Honorable Mention to the 2014 Division III All-America team.
Underman's All-American nod, follows the
First Team All-Region honors she collected last week from the AVCA and her
First Team All-Commonwealth honors after a breakout season for the Falcons. Underman led the Falcons in total kills (397) and kills per set (3.64). While also collecting 444 points this season, 120 more than her total in 2013.
The All-American honor is the first for the Falcons since Lauren Reese was also named an Honorable Mention in 2012.
Underman helped the Falcons to their fourth straight Commonwealth Championship game.
