Lou excelled on the basketball court for the Falcons. In four years, he scored 1,576 points, good for fifth place on Messiah’s career scoring list. But he may have been the most unselfish player in the history of Messiah basketball as he dished out 604 assists during his career, the most of any Falcon cager in college history. He is the only Messiah player to score 1,000 points, grab 500 rebounds, have 600 assists, and play in 100 games. The teams on which he played won 73 games in four years, and the Falcons competed in NCCAA post-season play two of those seasons. Lou set a strong Christian example and was one of the most intense competitors ever to play Messiah basketball.
