GRANTHAM, Pa. - The Messiah College women's tennis team collected their sixth-straight win on Tuesday afternoon on their home courts. The Falcons came out strong and defeated Hood in doubles action, 3-0. They continued to dominate throughout singles play sweeping the Blazers in five-straight matches. This 8-0 win moves Messiah to an overall record of 6-8 and 5-0 within the MAC Commonwealth.

Kaitlyn Russell and
Emily Wichert were trailing 5-4 but came back to win their match 8-6 in a close battle.
As the teams moved into singles play,
Robin Schwarzmann collected the Falcons' first victory without dropping a game 6-0, 6-0.
Rebekah Adams followed Schwarzmann with a 6-0, 6-1 win, while
Amanda Adams was close behind with an impressive 6-1, 6-1 victory at the No. 3 spot.
Gabby Brooks closed out her match 6-2, 6-1 to give Messiah their fourth singles win and
Emily Wichert finished things off with a hard fought 6-3, 4-6, 10-1 victory. No. 1
Kaitlyn Russell wasn't able to finish her match due to rain.
