GRANTHAM, Pa. - The Messiah College women's tennis team picked up their seventh-straight win after they defeated the Lebanon Valley Dutchmen on Saturday afternoon. The Falcons finished out the regular season by going undefeated in conference play (6-0) and claimed the top-seed heading into the MAC Commonwealth Tournament. Messiah went 2-1 in doubles play, dropping the No. 1 match to the Dutchmen. However, the Falcons responded by sweeping their way through singles action (6-0) to secure an 8-1 victory on senior day.

No. 2 doubles
Amanda Adams and
Rebekah Adams got things going for Messiah with an early 8-1 victory.
Gabby Brooks and
Rachel Marcroft followed the Adams sisters with an 8-5 win over Leah Wingert and Elizabeth Drda.
Kaitlyn Russell and
Emily Wichert battled but were unable to hold on and fell 8-6 in their match at the top-spot.
Messiah remained hot in singles action and picked up six-straight wins to close out the afternoon.
Gabby Brooks (6-1, 6-0),
Amanda Adams (6-2, 6-0),
Emily Wichert (6-1, 6-3) and
Sarah Summerson (6-1, 6-3) all picked up quick wins for the Falcons to claim the match.
Rebekah Adams had a close first set, winning it 7-5 and then cruised to a 6-2 victory in the second set.
Kaitlyn Russell won her first set easily (6-2) but had to battle for every point in the next set. Russell secured a 7-6 (7-5) victory over Melanie Haas in the No. 1 singles spot to give Messiah an 8-1 victory to end their regular season.
