Results | MAC Qualifying Standards
MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - The Falcons had a great showing at the Millersville Metrics including two program records, national marks, and big personal bests. Messiah took first in two events today with wins in the 800m and high jump.Â
In The Results
In the 100m,
Ellie Longshaw led the Falcons with a time of 13.56 seconds. Longshaw also competed in the 200m (27.54 seconds), running with
Rebecca Crosley (27.54 seconds) and
Esther Seeland (26.63 seconds), all hitting MAC qualifying times.
Messiah had five runners compete in the 400m dash with
Esther Seeland leading the way with a time of 57.78.
Ellissa Slader (59.90 seconds),
Rebecca Crosley (1:02.61),
Brieanna Hess (1:03.03 seconds), and
McKenna Welshans (1:04.19) all ran in the event and qualified for the conference championships.Â
The Falcons had three runners qualify for MAC's in the 800m with
Leanne Weaver leading the pack, finishing in first in the event with a time of 2:19.60.
Maddison Landis finished sixth in the event with a time of 2:24.26 and
Ashlyn Stonge came through the line in 2:29.39 to qualify for the outdoor conference meet.Â
Messiah had another three runners qualify for the conference championship in the 1500m with
Maddison Landis leading the way, finishing in third with a time of 4:54.15.
Leigha Southall broke the five minute barrier in the event, running a 4:59.34 to take seventh in the event. Rounding out the Falcons' MAC-qualifying performances in the event was
Emma Fertig who ran a 5:12.03 in the event.Â
The Falcons had four runners go sub-20 while finishing in the top-10 in the 5,000m.
Sarah Codd highlighted the Falcons' efforts, finishing first in the meet with a time of 18:34.15.
Danielle Cardone (19:22.51),
Cera Gaston (19:38.48), and
Elise Davenport (19:56.78) finished fifth, sixth, and seventh, respectively, to qualify for the conference championship.
Both Katherine Wiederrecht (1:07.95) and
Catherine Arke (1:16.91) qualified for the conference meet with their performances in the 400m hurdles.
Ally Austen made her way through the finish line in the 3,000m steeplechase with a time of 12:48.53. Austen's time is just over a 30 second personal best in the event.
Taylor Wiederrecht won the high jump with a program record jump of 1.68m.
Emily Gourley also competed in the high jump, clearing a height of 1.43m. T. Wiederrecht (5.03m) and
Emily Gourley (4.42m) also competed in the long jump, finishing in 10th and 27th respectively.Â
In the pole vault,
America Cervantes finished in 11th place with a jump of 2.40m.
Alyssa McMinn and
Lila Goodhile qualified for MAC's in the shot put with marks of 11.70m and 10.01m, respectively.Â
In the discus,
Alyssa McMinn (41.90m) and
Amanda Brown (34.33m) both qualified for the conference meet, finishing in fifth and 11th, respectively.Â
Alyssa McMinn set the program record in the hammer with a throw of 43.56m on her final attempt.
Amanda Brown (27.67m) and
Sarah Reed (26.23m) both surpassed the qualifying marks in the event.Â
Lila Goodhile led the way for the Falcons in the javelin, throwing a personal best mark of 35.30m.
Abigail Vance (32.44m),
Taylor Wiederrecht (29.91m), and
Kaitlyn Hart (29.38m) also competed in the event, all hitting MAC qualifying marks.Â
