WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - The Messiah College women's tennis team won their fourth-straight match on Tuesday afternoon. The Falcons traveled to Lycoming for another MAC Commonwealth battle and swept the Warriors 9-0. Messiah is now 3-0 in conference play and moves to 4-8 overall.

The Falcons were tested in doubles play, however they were able to claim all three matches. No. 3
Gabby Brooks and
Rachel Marcroft picked up Messiah's first win with an 8-4 victory, followed by
Kaitlyn Russell and
Emily Wichert who defeated their opponents 8-4 in the top-spot. No. 2
Amanda Adams and
Rebekah Adams battled hard in their doubles match and pulled out an 8-6 win over the Warriors.
Messiah continued to their winning ways in singles play by winning all six matches.
Amanda Adams and
Rebekah Adams didn't drop a game in their matches, defeating their opponents 6-0, 6-0.
Sarah Summerson only lost one game, winning her match 6-0, 6-1.
Gabby Brooks was tested in the first set, but she held on for a 6-4 win and then cruised her way through the second set, sweeping her opponent 6-0.
Kaitlyn Russell was challenged by her opponent Hannah Summerson, who was just named MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week, however Russell defeated Summerson 6-4, 6-5 to secure Messiah's fifth single's victory.
Emily Wichert finished things off for the Falcons with a 6-3, 7-5 win at the No. 2 slot.
