Center Valley, Pa - Messiah women's volleyball swept DeSales and SUNY Canton on Saturday bringing their winning streak to seven matches. The Falcons beat DeSales early Saturday morning 3-0 (25-21, 25-14, 25-19) and later eased by SUNY Canton 3-0 (25-17, 25-7, 25-8). Mackenzie Feight led the team with 13 kills while Emma Swartz led the team in assists and digs with 21 and 12 respectively in the match against DeSales.

Against SUNY Canton, Caitlin Lielbriedis led the team with 12 kills while Kristen Seibert had a team high 20 assists. Amanda Dahlman had 11 digs as well for Messiah on the day. Their final regular season match is on October 28, when they host Albright at 7:00PM in Grantham, Pa.

Messiah defeats DeSales 3-0
The Falcons swept the Bulldogs 3-0 (25-21, 25-14, 25-19) on Saturday morning. Messiah only needed 33 team kills and 49 digs to take down DeSales. The first set was closely contested throughout as DeSales worked their way back into the set multiple times. Messiah pulled away late to win that first set 25-21.

The second set was close early but the Falcons took control midway through, winning nine of 11 points to take an 18-12 lead. After a couple points, Messiah won six straight to win the set 25-14.

The third was much like the second as Messiah took command midway through with a 17-11 advantage. The Falcons would close the door and win the third set 25-19 and the match 3-0.

Mackenzie Feight had a team high 13 kills and added on three service aces while Chayney Barnhart had 11 kills and chipped in with six blocks. Emma Swartz led the team in assists and digs with 21 and 12 on the day.

Messiah defeats SUNY Canton 3-0
Messiah swept SUNY Canton 3-0 (25-17, 25-7, 25-8) for their second sweep of the day and third win this weekend. SUNY Canton showed little resistance on the afternoon, scoring only 32 total points in three sets. The first set at 25-17 was the closest fought set of match as Messiah dominated the rest of the match, giving SUNY Canton no chance to win.

Caitlin Lielbriedis had a team high 12 kills in the match with an impressive .458 hiitting percentage. Chayney Barnhart was next in line with seven kills on the team. Kristen Seibert led the team with 20 assists and added five service aces. Amanda Dahlman led the team in digs with 11.

The win is Messiah's seventh in a row and their record now stands at 18-8 overall. They will be back in action on October 28 when they host Albright at 7:00PM in Grantham, Pa.
