Gettysburg, Pa – The women's tennis team dropped their match against Gettysburg this afternoon 1-8. Rachel Marcroft and Rebekah Sheaffer highlighted the only win for the Falcons against the Bullets at No. 2 doubles.
 
Doubles
Messiah lost on courts one and three doubles to start the afternoon. Kasi Conjack and Angela Tozzi lost 0-8 at No. 1 while Hannah Murray and Sarah Fleming lost 2-8 at No. 3.
 
The final doubles match to wrap up was on court two. Rachel Marcroft and Rebekah Sheaffer played a great match and took down their opponents 8-5 in a well-fought set. This proved to be the only win for the Falcons on the day.
 
Singles
Messiah would go on to lose the remaining six singles matches to contribute to the 1-8 loss to the Bullets.
 
At No. 1 singles, Kasi Conjack lost 0-6, 0-6 to Andrea Brazyte.
 
At No. 2 singles, Rachel Marcroft lost 2-6, 2-6 against Gillian Rozenfield.
 
At No. 3 singles, Rebekah Sheaffer lost 0-6, 0-6 to Sarah Guistwite.
 
At No. 4 singles, Angela Tozzi lost 2-6, 0-6 to Alex Rieg.
 
At No. 5 singles, Nicole Lee played a good match but fell short 4-6, 3-6 to Tierney Cantwell.
 
At No. 6 singles, Hannah Olson lost 1-6, 3-6 to Kate Alianiello.
