GRANTHAM, PA - On a rainy homecoming day in Grantham, the Falcons earned another conference win in a 2-0 victory over the Widener Pride.
Ashlyn Smith tacked on the only two goals on the day giving her ten goals on the year.Â
The win brings the Falcons record to 8-2 and 3-0 in the conference. The Falcons will travel to St. Davids, Pa to face the Eastern Eagles on October 8, for an 11:00 AM start.

Messiah peppered Widener with shots in the first quarter before
Ashlyn Smith scored her ninth goal of the year with four minutes to go in the quarter. The score would stay that way until the half, with no shots being recorded in the rest of the half. Smith struck again with her second goal of the game to take a 2-0 lead in the game. Widener would dominate the rest of the quarter having four shots and two corners but could not answer. Messiah would then outshoot the Pride 4-0 in the fourth quarter and closed out the game with the 2-0 win.

Messiah out-shot Widener 12-4 on the day and held a 9-2 advantage on corners. Smith's season tally in goals is up to ten with her two goals today.
