BEL AIR, MD. - The men's tennis team lost to Harford Community College 1-8 this afternoon.
Connor Rose was the lone winner in singles. The Falcons host the DeSales Bulldogs on March 23, at 3:30 PM in Grantham, Pa.
Doubles
The Fighting Owls jumped out early in doubles, sweeping Messiah after the doubles matches. WIlson/Rose lost 4-8 on court one, Baker/Martin lost 1-8 on two and Sell/Niemi lost 2-8 on court three.
Singles
Chase Wilson lost 3-6, 1-6 on court one to Pablo Poleo.
Connor Rose went the distance in his match on court two and won a three-setter 7-6(5), 0-6, 6-3. That would prove to be the only Falcons win on the day.
Michael Sell lost 0-6, 0-6 on court three,
Jonathan Baker lost 1-6, 2-6 on court four and
Josh Gingerich lost 1-6, 1-6 on court five to give Harford seven overall points. The eighth point would come on court six but not without a battle.
Ellis Martin went to a ten-point tiebreak in the third set to decide his match but fell short 5-7, 6-2, (6-10). Harford would win the match 8-1 overall.
