BEL AIR, MD. - The Messiah women's tennis team lost a close match to Harford Community College 5-4 on Saturday afternoon.
Hannah Olson won convincingly at five singles. The women will travel to DeSales for a match on March 22 at 3:30 PM.
Doubles
Marcroft/Sheaffer played in the No. 1 doubles position this afternoon and played well but fell short 6-8 in their pro-set.
Nicole Lee and
Sarah Fleming played at No. 2 doubles and also played a good match but dropped their pro-set 5-8. Harford defaulted third doubles due to lack of players.Â
Singles
Kasi Conjack fell 0-6, 2-6 at one singles against Anna Holway.
Rachel Marcroft went the distance at No. 2 playing out a full third set in her match, but fell 4-6, 6-4, 2-6.
Rebekah Sheaffer played a close match at three but lost 5-7, 6-7(3). Harford would default No. 4 singles but sent out a player for their fifth singles match, one in which
Hannah Olson won easily 6-0, 6-0. Harford would then also default No. 6 singles as well on the day. Harford would edge the Falcons 5-4 overall.

The loss drops the Falcons record to 2-6 overall on the season. The Falcons will travel to Center Valley, Pa to take on the DeSales Bulldogs on March 22, at 3:30 PM
