HILTON HEAD, SC -  The Messiah women's tennis team opened up their first match of spring break against the Sweet Briar Vixens in Hilton Head this afternoon. The Vixens swept the Falcons 9-0 in the match, beating everyone in straight sets.

Doubles
The Vixens jumped out to a 3-0 lead after winning all three doubles courts. At No. 1 doubles the team of Kasi Conjack /Angela Tozzi dropped their match 2-8 while Rachel Marcroft/Rebekah Sheaffer lost theirs at No. 2 doubles 4-8. At No. 3 doubles, Nicole Lee/Hannah Murray lost 1-8.

Singles
The Vixens kept the foot on the gas stifling the Falcons in singles play on the afternoon. Conjack lost 0-6, 0-6 while Marcroft lost 1-6, 2-6 in the top two singles positions. Tozzi and Lee each lost their respective matches 0-6, 1-6 at the numbers three and four positions. Hannah Olson lost 0-6, 0-6 and Murray lost 4-6, 1-6 to cap off the afternoon.
