Frederick, Md. - The men's tennis team swept Hood earlier this afternoon 9-0. Their conference record improves to 4-1 on the year and will host LVC on April 23.
Doubles
With one court already counted due to forfeit, Messiah won courts one and two easily to take a 3-0 lead after doubles. Wilson/Rose won 8-2 on court one while Baker/Gingerich won 8-0 on court two.
Singles
The Falcons continued to ease through Hood's lineup, sweeping the singles as well, including two forfeits on courts four and six.
Connor Rose slid into the first singles spot and won 6-3, 6-2 while
Michael Sell won 6-3, 6-1 on court two.
Josh Gingerich didn't drop a game in his 6-0, 6-0 win on court three, as did
Andrew Stapp as well, winning 6-0 6-0 on court five. Court four was forfeited due to injury while court six was forfeited due to lack of players.
