Frederick, Md. - The Messiah women's tennis team swept the Hood College Blazers on the road this afternoon 9-0.
The Falcons improve to 3-1 in the conference with the win and will host LVC on Saturday April 23, at 1:00 PM.
Doubles
The Falcons came out and swept the doubles to take a 3-0 lead over Hood College early this afternoon. Conjack/Tozzi won 8-2 on court one, Marcroft/Sheaffer won 8-3 on court two and Murray/Fleming won 8-4 on court three to seal the third point after doubles play.
Singles
Messiah continued that trend in singles, winning every court in straight sets.
Kasi Conjack did not drop a game 6-0, 6-0 on court one, marking her first conference singles win of her young career.
Rachel Marcroft won 6-3, 6-0 on court two and
Angela Tozzi won by an identical score of 6-3, 6-0 as well on court three. On court four,
Nicole Lee won 6-2, 6-1 while on court five,
Hannah Murray won 6-1, 6-2.
Sarah Fleming won her match on court six 6-1, 6-1 as Messiah went on to sweep the Blazers 9-0.

The win improves their conference record to 3-1 and their overall mark to 5-8. Messiah will travel to PSU Harrisburg on Thursday to finish their match from earlier in the month, with the match undecided at 2-4. After that, the Falcons will host LVC on April 23, at 1:00. That match will take place on Criste Courts in Grantham, Pa.
