GRANTHAM, PA - The Messiah women's tennis team fell to Lebanon Valley College earlier today 9-0 to drop their conference mark to 3-2. Messiah also celebrated seniors,
Rachel Marcroft,
Angela Tozzi,
Hannah Murray and
Sarah Fleming.
They will travel to York for a match on April 27, for a match at 3:30 PM.
Doubles
LVC came out and swept the doubles, winning 8-0 on court one against Conjack/Tozzi and 8-3 on court two against Marcroft/Sheaffer. Murray/Fleming lost in a close 6-8 set on court three to give LVC the 3-0 lead into singles.
Singles
LVC continued surging ahead in singles, only dropping one set on the day on court six. Conjack lost on court one 1-6, 0-6, while Marcroft lost 3-6, 0-6 on court two. Tozzi fell 2-6, 1-6, while Lee lost 2-6, 3-6. Murray lost 1-6, 4-6 while Olson on court six fell in a third set tiebreak. Olson won the first set, but lost 7-6(6), 4-6, (3-10).

The loss drops the Falcons record to 5-9 overall and 3-2 in the conference. They will travel to York on April 27, at 3:30 to play the Spartans in a match that was postponed from earlier in April.
