GOVERNOR MIFFLIN, PA - After a slight rain delay and six hours after the scheduled start time of 1:00 PM, Messiah was handled by Alvernia 3-6. Messiah earned wins on courts two and three doubles as well as No. 6 singles on the day.

Doubles
Similar to the match the previous day against PSU Harrisburg, Messiah played well out of the gate in doubles, claiming courts two and three to take a 2-1 lead going into singles play. Marcroft/Sheaffer won 8-4 on court two while Murray/Fleming won 8-3 on court three. Conjack/Tozzi fell on court one 3-8 as the teams headed into singles play.

Singles
The success in doubles did not translate over to the singles courts however, with Alvernia winning four out of the five courts in straight sets, and five out of six courts overall. The lone win for the Falcons came on court six courtesy of Hannah Olson, who dominated her opponent 6-0, 6-0. Conjack lost 1-6, 1-6 on court one while Rachel Marcroft found herself in a deciding third set for the second day in a row. Marcroft was able to finish the match today but came up short 7-6(4), 0-6, 5-7. Angela Tozzi, Nicole Lee and Hannah Murray each lost in straight sets on courts three through five. Tozzi lost 6-7(3), 1-6, Lee lost 2-6, 1-6 and Murray lost 3-6, 4-6 to end the day for Messiah.

Alvernia would claim the match 6-3.
