GETTYSBURG, PA -The Messiah field hockey team won 2-0 this afternoon in a battle against Gettysburg. Goals from Kline and Smith gave the Falcons the edge and their third win of the season.Â
The Falcons will travel to TCNJ on Saturday for a matchup of nationally ranked teams at 1:00 PM in New Jersey.Â

The Falcons got on the board first with a goal from
Mallory Kline, her third of the year with under a minute to go in the first quarter. The Falcons doubled that lead before halftime, taking a 2-0 lead into the break. The second goal came by a tally from
Ashlyn Smith. That was all the Falcons needed to earn the 2-0 victory on the day.Â
Messiah held the shots advantage on the day, out shooting the Bullets 8-1. The Falcons also had nine more corners than the Bullets (10-1) furthering the dominance on the field. As mentioned, Kline and Smith each picked up their third goals of the season.
