GRANTHAM, PA - The Messiah field hockey team fell to Johns Hopkins 3-0 this afternoon to drop their record to 1-1 on the year. The Falcons had multiple chances but could not convert on any scores in the game.Â
The Falcons will be back again on Wednesday September 7, when they host Franklin and Marshall at 7:00 PM on Anderson Field.Â

The Falcons had multiple chances in the first half but could not capitalize on any opportunities as Johns Hopkins scraped across three goals to take a 3-0 lead into the half. Goals from the Blue Jays included two from senior Siena Urbanski and one from graduate student Abby Birk. The Blue Jays dominated most of the game, doubling the overall shots in the game (22-11).
Catie Brubaker was busy in goal, facing that 22 shot onslaught from Johns Hopkins saving 11 shots on the day. Hopkins also had eight more penalty corners on the afternoon (14-6).
