GRANTHAM, Pa - The Messiah women's tennis team also took on Gettysburg in Friday's matchup. Unfortunately for the Falcons their result would be similar to the men's team, falling to the Bullets 9-0 on the day.
Doubles
The Falcons could not find the win column in doubles as the Bullets managed to win on all three courts. Andrea Brazyte / Avery Palandjian took down Kasi Conjack / Isabella Heckman 8-3. Court two finished identically to court one with Sarah Guistwite / Eden Levkov taking down Falcons Kylie Walker / Rebekah Sheaffer 8-3. Lastly, on court three Emma Ward / Ellie Brignati defeated Jocelyn Valdez / Izzy Ipri 8-2.
Singles
Heading into singles play the Falcons were down 0-3. Looking to get in the win column for the first time all day. The Falcons would fight hard. However, Gettysburg proved to be too much as the Bullets prevailed winning all six singles courts.
Kasi Conjack fought hard on court one. However, Conjack would fall in two sets by scores of 6-2, and 6-4. Courts two and three were dominating outings for the Bullets as Sarah Guistwite defeated Kylie Walker 6-1, and 6-0. While on court three, Avery Palandjian took down Isabella Heckman 6-0 in both sets.
Courts four, five, and six also ended in losses for the Falcons. Gettysburg completed the 9-0 sweep dropping Messiah to 1-2 on the young season.
What's Up Next:
The Falcons finished their fall season 1-2. Messiah will not be in action until Mar 9 where they will be on the road for their spring break trip.
