GRANTHAM, Pa. – The Messiah Womens Tennis team defeated East Stroudsburg University 9-0 in their first match at home for the spring season. The Falcons were perfect on the day with neither double nor singles players losing a match.
Doubles
The Falcons would sweep all three doubles courts to begin the day against the Warriors.

Bella Heckman defeated S. Passmore / K. Ricci 8-1 to get things rolling for the Falcons.

Rebekah Sheaffer took down S. Paul / A. Bianchini 8-2 on court two. Lastly
Jocelyn Valdez /
Angela Tozzi knocked off J. Parker / C. Furlow 8-4 to kick off the day giving Messiah a 3-0 match lead.
Singles
Kasi Conjack took down her opponent Samantha Passmore (6-2, 6-1) extending the Falcons lead to 4-0 on the day.
Kylie Walker would pick up a win against Alessia Bianchini by scores of (6-2, 6-4) and lastly
Bella Heckman defeated Sherin Paul by scores of 6-0 in set one and 6-3 in set two giving Messiah the Guaranteed win.
Rebekah Sheaffer,
Jocelyn Valdez, and
Angela Tozzi finished off the day all beating their opponents in dominant fashion pulling off the complete 9-0 victory at home, this is the Falcons first home win of the 2023-2024 season.
What's Up Next
The Falcons will head to Hilton Head South Carolina for spring break. Messiah will face four different opponents in their time down there. Their first will be on Monday Mar. 11 against Saint Mary's College (IN) at 9:00a.m.
