Puerto Rico – The Messiah University women's basketball team dropped their final game of 2023, to the fifth-ranked Warhawks of Wisconsin-Whitewater. The Falcons trailed the Warhawks by three at the end of the first quarter. The Warhawks continued to push the lead to nine at the half. A big third quarter from the Warhawks extended the lead to 17.
Reese Harden led the Falcons with 16 points.

First Quarter
The Warhawks opened the first quarter with a 6-2 run that lasted the first six minutes.
Reese Harden scored the lone basket for the Falcons. After a few Warhawk buckets, the Falcons went on a 7-3 run that started with a three from
Chloe Milanesi and ended with a jumper from
EmmyFaith Wood. The Warhawks hit a free throw with 13 seconds remaining to give Wisconsin-Whitewater a 14-11 lead at the end of the first quarter.
Second Quarter
The Warhawks opened the second quarter with two quick baskets, but the Falcons responded with a quick 6-0 run that was led by Four points from
Reese Harden to reduce the Falcons deficit to two with 5:52 remaining. The Warhawks responded with a 13-4 run before
Morgan Adams made a layup right before the buzzer to put the Falcons down 32-23 at the half.
Third Quarter
The Warhawks put together a run of 11-4 that ran the entire third quarter.
Morgan Adams scored the only field goal in the quarter and
Reese Harden added a pair of free throws for the Falcons. The Falcons headed into the fourth trailing 44-27.
Fourth Quarter
The Falcons looked to make a comeback in the fourth as the two teams traded buckets in the first two minutes with
Chloe Milanesi and
Reese Harden scoring for the Falcons. The Warhawks outscored the Falcons 14-5 with a
Kiara Bomboy three and a
EmmyFaith Wood jumper for the baskets for the Falcons to put the final score at 62-36.

Chloe Milanesi added seven points, six rebounds, four steals, and two assists.
Morgan Adams totaled six points and eight rebounds. The Falcons shot 26.4 percent from the field and 15.4 percent from three. The Warhawks shot 40 percent from the field and 20 percent from three.
