Diplomats Strike Early and Often, Down Falcons

GRANTHAM, PA. - The Messiah men's lacrosse team fell behind early against Franklin & Marshall and dropped their matchup to a score of 15-7. Chad Teresky led the Falcons with three goals on the night.

Messiah will travel to Marymount on Saturday, February 25, to face the Saints at 12:00 PM.

Action
The Diplomats struck first but it was the Falcons who quickly answered with a Jesse Lynch goal to tie the game at 1-1 just under four minutes into play. Messiah had multiple chances but could not convert the rest of the half, going into the break down 8-1.

The Falcons found the back of the cage six times in the second half, including four times in the final period. Chad Teresky scored with 7:11 left in the third to make it a 10-2 game. The Falcons tacked on five more goals courtesy of Ben Ferrell, Dean Gillette (2) and Chad Teresky (2) but the Diplomats were too much and won the game 15-7.

As mentioned, Chad Teresky led the Falcons with three goals while Dean Gillette added two. Jesse Lynch and Ben Ferrell also scored on the night. Teresky also added an assist on the night in a four point performance.

Up Next
The loss evens up the Falcons record to 1-1 and will be on the road for their first away matchup this spring. They will travel to Arlington, Va. to face the Marymount Saints. Opening face-off is scheduled for 12:00 PM on Saturday, February 25.
