GROVE CITY, PA. - The Messiah men's lacrosse team picked up their sixth win of the year taking down the Wolverines of Grove City 14-12 this afternoon. Chad Teresky had himself a day scoring six times for the Falcons with five goals alone in the fourth quarter that lifted the Falcons to the win. Bobby Berg tacked on three goals while Nathan Branson added two of his own in the game.

The Falcons will travel to Gwynedd Valley, Pa. to take on the Griffins on March 22, at 4:00 PM.

Action
Messiah held a 4-1 lead early in the first period, which would blossom to a 6-3 lead after the first 15 minutes of action. That lead grew to as much as 9-4 with just under two to go in the half. Grove City added one more goal to make it a 9-5 game headed into halftime.

It was all Grove City for the third quarter and the start of the fourth. After a scoreless third period from the Falcons, Grove City took a commanding lead 12-9 with just under 12 minutes to go in the game, capping off a 7-0 run in the second half and an 8-0 run dating back to the end of the second quarter. The Falcons needed an answer, quickly. That's when Chad Teresky took over.

Teresky who had scored once during the first three periods, carried the squad in the fourth quarter, rattling off five straight goals to ultimately push the Falcons ahead for good as they would hold on for the 14-12 win. Teresky's first goal in the fourth quarter (his second of the game at that point) was assisted by Bobby Berg but the remaining four goals were single handedly scored by Teresky. Frustrating the Wolverines over the back half of the period, Teresky's reign of terror was too much as the Falcons held on for the 14-12 win.

The win takes the Falcons to 6-2 and will be on the road once again to face the Griffins of Gwynedd Mercy. That game will be held on March 22, at 4:00 PM.
