GRANTHAM, PA. - The Messiah women's tennis team cruised past Eastern 9-0 to open up the conference slate this afternoon. The Falcons were dominant on every court and earned the convincing win.
The Falcons will host Randolph-Macon on April 3, for a home match on Criste Courts. First serve is set for 4:00 PM.
On the Courts
Messiah dropped a combined two games on all three doubles courts, winning easily to kick off the match up 3-0. Conjack/Heckman and Walker/Sheaffer each won 8-1 while the team of Tozzi/Lee didn't allow a game in their 8-0 win.
It was the same for singles as the Falcons did not face much of a challenge on the singles courts.
Kasi Conjack won 6-3, 6-3 while
Kylie Walker and Bella Heckman each won 6-0, 6-1 on their respective courts.
Messiah picked up three more wins from
Rebekah Sheaffer, 6-1, 6-1,
Nicole Lee, 6-0, 6-1 and finally
Angela Tozzi, 6-2, 6-2 to cap off the 9-0 win.

The win takes the Falcons record to 4-4 and starts the conference slate with a 1-0 record. Messiah will host a non-conference match in Randolph-Macon on April 3. That match will start at 4:00 PM and will be held in Grantham, Pa.
