SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – On Wednesday evening, a handful of members of the Messiah track and field team made the short drive to Shippensburg to complete in the Shippensburg Mid-Week Invitational. The Falcons set a pair of personal bests with
Isabela Rodriguez also qualifying for the MAC Championships in the 800 Meter in addition to her personal record in the event. Additionally,
Connor Coggins set a personal best in the 3,000 Meter to lead the Falcons in the event.

A total of 10 Falcons were in action on Wednesday afternoon with
Isabela Rodriguez setting a new lifetime best in the 800 Meter with a time of 2:28.57. Her time also qualified her for the MAC Championships in the event.
Amber Fogelsanger also competed in the 800 Meter, running the event in a time of 2:36.21.

The Falcons also had three women run in the 3,000 Meter.
Connor Coggins ran a personal best in the event, turning in a time of 11:12.60.
Kirsten Howland (12:10.34) and
Sarah Bath (12:58.00) also ran in the event.

On the men's side, five Falcons competed in four different events. In the 1,500 Meter both
Nathan Kimmel (4:14.28) and
Derek Guissanie (4:44.99) were in action and accounted for the only men's event with multiple Falcons competing.

Jack Daudt ran the 800 Meter, turning in a time of 2:08.20.
Lance Kauffman competed in the 5,000 Meter, finishing with a time of 16:36.54.

In the lone field event with a Falcon in action,
Noah Keitel jumped 5.65 meters in the Long Jump.

The Falcons will have some representation at the Widener Invitational on Friday night before a larger contingency competes at the Mason Dixon Invitational on Saturday at Gettysburg College.
