READING, PA. – The Messiah women's tennis team not only won 6-3 against Albright this afternoon, but also clinched their berth in the upcoming MAC Commonwealth Playoffs. Earning the No. 4 seed, the Falcons will travel to Annville, Pa. to battle the No. 1 seed Lebanon Valley on Wednesday, April 26. That match will begin at a time to be determined.

From the Baseline
The Falcons earned a 2-1 lead after doubles play with the duo of Walker/Sheaffer winning handily 8-0 on court two while Tozzi/Lee won 8-4 on court three. Conjack/Heckman fell 2-8 on court one for the Lions first point of the afternoon.

Singles
Mathematically alive in the conference postseason picture, Albright needed to respond well in singles. They did, winning courts one and two early to take an overall 3-2 match lead. No. 1
Kasi Conjack lost 0-6, 1-6 while
Kylie Walker fell 2-6, 4-6 on court two.

Those would be the final courts that Albright would win on the afternoon, leaving them wistful recognizing their season was coming to a close as the Falcons commanded the remaining courts for the 6-3 win.

First it was
Isabella Heckman cruising to a 6-1, 6-1 win on court three before
Rebekah Sheaffer won 6-1, 6-2 on court four.
Nicole Lee had the clinching fifth point for the Falcons winning 6-0, 6-3 on court five while
Angela Tozzi prevailed in her match 6-2, 7-6(2). Trailing 3-5 in the second set, Tozzi rattled off a couple set points and was able to force a set tiebreak that she would take convincingly 7-2 for the aforementioned 6-2, 7-6(2) win.
