GRANTHAM, Pa. – The Messiah womens tennis team hosted former MAC Commonwealth foe Lebanon Valley College. In Fridays match the Dutchmen bested the Falcons 6-3 on the day.
The Falcons will be back in action Tuesday Apr 2
nd against Hartford Community College a match previously slated for March 23
rd.
How It Happened:
Doubles:
On court one Falcons,
Kasi Conjack and
Bella Heckman would lose their match 8-2. Court three would finish next which had,
Kiara Bomboy and
Jocelyn Valdez who would come up short by a score of 8-3. The last court to finish was court two with,
Kylie Walker and
Rebekah Sheaffer, this would be the first win on the day as the pair won the match 8-6.
Singles:
Unfortunately for the Falcons the undefeated Dutchwomen would perform well in singles action taking the first four courts to secure the match victory.
Kasi Conjack would keep it close in set one losing 6-3. However, would fall in set two 6-0 dropping court one. On court two,
Kylie Walker would fall to her opponent by scores of 6-0, 6-0.
Courts three and four were the daggers for Messiah.
Bella Heckman would lose court three 6-0, 6-2 and
Rebekah Sheaffer would lose in close sets to her opponent 6-3, 6-3.
Kiara Bomboy and
Jocelyn Valdez would finish strong for the Falcons picking up wins on their respective courts. Bomboy picked up a court four win in dominant fashion winning 6-1, 6-0. To end the day Valdez would win set one 6-2, drop set two 4-6, and finish in a super tie breaker winning 10-4.
