READING, Pa. – The Messiah University men's lacrosse team used a dominant all around effort to defeat the Lions of Albright College 21-10 on Saturday on afternoon. The Falcons opened the game strong with a 7-1 run in the first quarter. The Falcons continued to dominate in the second quarter, outscoring the Lions 6-1, to take a 13-2 lead headed into the half. Both teams scored eight goals in the second half, as the Falcons finished off an impressive 21-10 win.
Chad Teresky led the Falcons with nine points on four goals and four assists.
Bobby Berg totaled seven goals and an assist.
Mike McKnelly also added seven points on four goals and three assists.

First Quarter
The Falcons opened the game strong with a 4-0 run that started with a goal from
Mike McKnelly and ended with a
RJ Mellor goal from
Seth Libby to give the Falcons a four-goal lead with 9:37 remaining in the first quarter. After a Lions goal, the Falcons ended the quarter with three unanswered goals that was led by two goals from
Chad Teresky to give the Falcons a 7-1 lead after the first quarter.
Second Quarter
The Falcons started the second quarter strong with a goal in the first minute from
Bobby Berg by
Chad Teresky to push the Falcons lead to seven. After Albright answered the goal a few minutes later, the Falcons ended the half with five unanswered goals, that started with an
Owen Hammel goal and ended with a
Mike McKnelly goal from
Chad Teresky to give the Falcons a 13-2 lead at the half.
Third Quarter
The Lions came out of the break strong with four of the first five goals, with the lone Falcons goal coming from
Bobby Berg, to reduce the Falcons lead to eight with 8:33 remaining in the third. After the Lions' run the Falcons answered back with two goals from
Bobby Berg and
Mike McKnelly to push the Falcons lead back to 10. The Lions though would not go away and scored two straight goals to put the score at 16-8 headed into the final quarter.
Fourth Quarter
The Falcons opened the first five minutes strong with three unanswered goals from
Mike McKnelly,
Bobby Berg, and
Jesse Lynch to push the Falcons lead to 19-8 with 11:52 remaining in the game. In the final 10 minutes the Falcons scored two straight goals from
Bobby Berg and
Jesse Lynch and then the Lions scored two goals in the final two minutes, but the Falcons rolled to a 21-10 win over the Lions.
