GRANTHAM, Pa. - The Messiah mens tennis team get past the Mustangs to move into first place in the MAC Commonewealth standings. The Falcons now have one game left before heading into the conference tournament.
Messiah will travel to Alvernia Saturday April 27th.

Luke Risser began the day with an strong outing on court three winning 8-3.

Michael Niemi would follow that up with a narrow 8-6 win to give the Falcons a 2-0 match lead. However, a court one loss would give the Mustangs their first match point of the day.
Singles:
Heading into singles play up 2-1 in the match
Elijah Noll extended their lead with a court six 6-1, 6-2 win.
Timothy Sheaffer would win his court by injury stoppage. Holding to a 4-1 lead over the No.1 seed in the conference, Stevenson would begin to catch some steam. The Mustangs would take courts four, five, and one in back to back to back wins to tie the match at 4-4. Seeding implications on the line,
Michael Niemi would secure the Falcons victory winning the last match of the day 6-3, and winning set two in a tie breaker 7-6(7-5).
