GLENSIDE, Pa. – The No. 9 Messiah University women's soccer team picked up a conference crossover win against the Arcadia Knights with a final score of 7-0 on Saturday afternoon. Six different Falcons contributed to the goal scoring, with freshmen
Addi Martin picking up her first and second career goals to put Messiah up 2-0 to start the game.
Brittany Laird and
Hannah Lashley each added first half goals.
Kaitlyn Laird,
Ava Buckwalter, and
Hannah Adair each picked up second half goals for the Falcons.

First Half
Addi Martin took the first shot of the game almost nine minutes into action, missing just right of the goal. Two minutes later, it would be Martin again striking the ball towards the goal. This shot made it past the keeper to put the Falcons up 1-0, with Martin's first career goal. Martin stayed hungry and fired a shot low at the goal nine minutes later, but the Arcadia goalie was able to make the save. Martin continued her attack four minutes later when
Julia Martin sent her a pass that she was able to put past the Knights goalie for her second tally of the game. Less than a minute later,
Brittany Laird fire a shot into the goal to increase the Falcons' lead to 3-0. With less than three minutes remaining in the half, Messiah bounced back from an offside call and were able to play the ball back towards the Arcadia goal and
Hannah Lashley was able to knock a shot in to increase the lead to 4-0 going into halftime.
Second Half
Coming out of the half, Messiah did not let up on the offensive attack. The Falcons earned two early corner kicks but were unable to capitalize on either attempt.
Brittany Laird was looking for her second goal of the game but missed high on two shots. In the 60th minute,
Hannah Adair rocketed a shot on goal, but the Arcadia goalie was able to make the save. Five minutes later
Ella Arace put a shot on frame, but it was again saved by the Knights' goalie. With just under twenty minutes remaining,
Kaitlyn Laird was able to find the back of the net, bringing the Falcons total to 5-0. In the 79th minute,
Hannah Adair fired another shot low on goal, but it was saved by the Arcadia goalie.
Kierstyn Fogle found
Ava Buckwalter in the 84th minute and Buckwalter was able to convert for the first goal of her career. With just over a minute to play,
Hannah Adair fired one last shot on goal, this one making it past the keeper, bringing the score to 7-0 in favor of Messiah.
