GRANTHAM, Pa. – Messiah Women's Tennis finished the fall slate of their 2025-26 season on Saturday, defeating Shippensburg University 5-2.
In doubles, the Falcons took all three courts to take a 1-0 lead in the match. The Falcons took four singles courts, taking the overall match by a score of 5-2.

Doubles
On court one,
Kiara Bomboy and
Kylie Walker won 6-3. The team of
Isabella Heckman and
Susan Arp also won their match on court two, 6-3. On court three, the team of
Isabella Ipri and
Jocelyn Valdez won 6-4, giving the Falcons all three doubles courts and a 1-0 lead in the match.
Singles
On court two,
Susan Arp took the first singles court of the day in dominating fashion, winning in two sets (6-0, 6-2). On court three,
Isabella Heckman fell in two sets (3-6, 1-6), giving Shippensburg their first point of the match. Court five was the next to finish, with
Isabella Ipri winning in two sets (6-4, 6-2). On court one,
Kiara Bomboy won a close match in two sets (6-4, 7-5).
Katelyn Good followed with a comfortable win on court four, winning in two sets (6-2, 6-2).
Jocelyn Valdez closed out the day on court six, battling in the only match to go to a third set However, in the third set Valdez would have to medically retire, giving the court to Shippensburg (2-6, 6-2, 3-4).
After singles, Messiah took the overall score 5-2, winning their first match of the season.
