Three Falcons Earn Player of the Week Honors

NEWTOWN, Pa. – On Tuesday morning, the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) announced its conference weekly award recipients for the week ending September 21, 2025. The Falcons took home both awards for MAC Runner of the Week, with Louka Fetter winning the Men's Runner of the Week and Ella Swayne winning Women's Runner of the Week. Women's Volleyball also received an award, with Claire Marzolino winning MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Week.

Louka Fetter earned MAC Men's Runner of the Week, claiming the individual title at the Aggie Invite which served as a course preview for this season's MAC Championships to be hosted by Delaware Valley later this season. Fetter led the majority of the race before being passed by two runners late. He then surged past the competitors in a final push to clock a time of 26:06.10 to earn the individual win, helping lead Messiah to a team victory with 28 points.

Ella Swayne was named MAC Women's Runner of the Week, earning her second-straight individual victory of the season, claiming the top spot at the Aggie Invite with a time of 23:30.70. Swayne was one of two runners to break 24 minutes in the race. She once again led a 1-2 finish for the Falcons as Messiah earned a dominant team victory with 37 points.

Claire Marzolino was named MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Week. Marzolino had 41 digs, five assists, and five service aces in the Falcons three contests. Marzolino picked up 13 digs against Cortland. Against Oberlin, she added 16 digs, plus three assists and five service aces. In the Falcons match against Gettysburg, Marzolino totaled 12 digs and two assists.
