OWINGS MILLS, Md. – The No. 5 Falcons traveled to Stevenson University for a midweek game against the Mustangs. The Falcons earned the 3-0 conference sweep with set scores of 25-16, 25-18, and 25-16.
Alex Kagoro led the Falcons with 21 kills, three service aces, and seven digs.
Jake Eby tallied eight kills while adding three blocks.
Todd Snyder and
Tyler McConnell each notched seven kills with Snyder adding a pair of service aces and McConnell adding three blocks and six digs.
Cooper Henseler dished out 38 assists. The Falcons hit .537, with just seven errors on 80 attempts while totaling 50 kills.
Messiah returns to action on Wednesday, April 1 at 7:00 p.m. when they host the Knights of Arcadia University on Jordan Court in Hitchcock Arena in the final conference matchup of the regular season.
First Set
The Falcons tallied the first point of the game with
Cooper Henseler connecting with
Todd Snyder for a kill. Henseler connected with
Alex Kagoro for a pair of kills before Kagoro found
Jake Eby for a kill and 4-2 lead. A kill for Kagoro and block from
Tyler Good and
Jake Eby brought the score to 6-4 in favor of the Falcons. Eby and Snyder tallied kills before Kagoro tallied a pair from Henseler and
Aidan Dunwoody to extend the lead to 10-7. A pair of kills for
Alex Kagoro and one for
Jake Eby gave the Falcons a 14-10 lead, causing Stevenson to call a timeout. The Falcons tallied three with an error from the Mustangs and a pair of kills from
Alex Kagoro to extend to a 17-10 lead.
Tyler McConnell tallied a kill and
Tyler Good found Kagoro for a kill for the 20-14 lead.
Cooper Henseler connected with

Todd Snyder for kills before Snyder notched a service ace to give the Falcons a 3-2 lead.
Jake Eby tallied a kill before a pair of errors for the Mustangs gave Messiah a 6-4 lead. A pair of kills from
Tyler McConnell and one from Kagoro led to a 9-6 lead before an ace from Henseler extended the lead to 10-6. Kagoro tallied a pair of kills with Snyder notching a service ace and the Mustangs tallying an error for a 14-9 lead. After a service error from Stevenson and a kill for
Alex Kagoro from
Tyler McConnell gave Messiah a 16-10 lead, Stevenson used their first timeout in the second set. The Falcons and Mustangs traded points before Eby and McConnell tallied kills before a kill for Kagoro gave Messiah a 20-14 lead.
