GRANTHAM, Pa. – On Saturday afternoon, the Messiah University men's lacrosse team used a dominant overall effort to defeat the Knights of Arcadia University, 16-5. The Falcons opened the game strong with a 6-0 lead after the first quarter. The Falcons then outscored the Knights by one in the second to take a 10-3 lead at the half. The Falcons outscored the Knights, 4-2 to take a commanding 14-5 lead at the end of the third. The Falcons added two more goals in the fourth to earn the 16-5 win.
Owen Hammel led the Falcons with three goals and three assists.
Quentin Davis scored five goals.
Bobby Berg tallied four points on one goal and three assists.
Jourdain Algarin earned the win and made 11 saves in the cage for the Falcons.

First Quarter
The Falcons opened the game strong with four-straight goals in the first five minutes to take an early 4-0 lead.
Quentin Davis scored two goals and
Owen Hammel and
Jesse Lynch each scored a goal for the Falcons during the stretch.
Quinn Foster scored a goal from Hammel a few minutes later to give the Falcons a 5-0 lead. After some tight defensive play, Hammel capped off the first with a goal from
Quinn Foster to give the Falcons a 6-0 lead.
Second Quarter
The Knights opened the second with two-straight goals to cut the Falcons lead to four just under a minute into the second quarter. The Falcons then responded with a 3-0 run to take a 9-2 lead with nine minutes remaining in the half.
Quentin Davis,
Owen Hammel, and
Noah Hauf each scored a goal for the Falcons during the run. After Knights added a goal,
Bobby Berg ended the half with a goal from
Jesse Lynch with four seconds remaining to give the Falcons a 10-3 lead at the break.
Third Quarter
The Knights scored the first goal of the third, but the Falcons responded with four-straight goals to take a 14-4 lead with 4:27 remaining in the third.
Quentin Davis scored two goals and
Jesse Lynch and
Noah Rabolli each scored a goal for the Falcons during the run. The Knights scored the final goal of the third to reduce the Falcons lead to 14-5 heading into the fourth.
Fourth Quarter
After 11 minutes of scoreless play,
Trey Bui scored a man-up goal to push the Falcons lead to 15-5.
Rowan Foster scored a behind-the-back goal to cap off the scoring and the Falcons earned the 16-5 win.
