GRANTHAM, Pa. – The Messiah Men's Tennis team was in action in the MAC Commonwealth Semi-finals this afternoon, taking down the Eagles of Eastern University 4-0. The Falcons took all three doubles courts to earn the doubles point and followed to with wins on three singles courts to close out the victory.
Up next, the Falcons head to Albright College on Saturday, May 2, for the MAC Commonwealth Championship match.
Doubles
Xane Whitesel and
Luke Risser started the day with a dominant 6-1 win on court three, followed by a quick 6-1 win for
Brady Hahn and
Lance Wilson on court one to secure the doubles point.
Elijah Noll and
Timothy Sheaffer closed out doubles with a 6-4 win on court two.
Singles
Luke Risser won in two quick set on court five to start singles (6-2, 6-0).
Brady Hahn then picked up a two-set win on court two (6-2, 6-2). Finally,
Lance Wilson secured the victory with a win in two sets on court one (6-4, 6-2).
Elijah Noll,
Timothy Sheaffer, and
Micah Batson were all playing well when the match was called.
