CARLISLE, Pa. – The Messiah Softball team traveled to Carlisle, Pa. this afternoon for a double header against the Red Devils of Dickinson College, with the Falcons winning both games. In game one, a strong start from the Falcons offense gave the team a big lead early. The Red Devils rallied in the sixth inning for a few runs, but clutch pitching and defending saw out a 6-2 Messiah win.
Fallon Feaser had two hits and two RBIs.
Rebekah Wiley had two triples and one RBI.
Josi Tolentino added two hits and one RBI. In game two, the Falcons trailed early, but a five-run fourth inning helped the team pull away enroute to an 8-3 win.
Fallon Feaser had two hits, including a three-run homerun.
Rebekah Wiley added three hits, while
Brielle Rosario and
Josi Tolentino both added two hits and one RBI.

Game One: Messiah – 6, Dickinson – 2
Brielle Rosario started the game with a leadoff single before stealing second to get into scoring position.
Fallon Feaser followed with a one-out single to score Rosario and give Messiah an early lead. Next,
Allie Book reached base on a fielder's choice, and
Rebekah Wiley tripled to center field, scoring Book to double the Falcons lead.
Fallon Feaser followed with a quick inning in the circle in the bottom of the first.
In the second inning,
Josi Tolentino led off with a single.
Ashley Bryant dropped down a bunt to advance the runner, but Bryant also reached base after a throwing error, with both runners moving into scoring position. Both runners then advanced on a wild pitch that scored Tolentino to make it 3-0.
Asia Harding then walked, and after some confusion on the base paths a fourth run scored for Messiah.
In the third inning,
Rebekah Wiley recorded her second triple in as many at bats, but Messiah failed to tack on another run.
Fallon Feaser added another scoreless inning for the Falcons in the bottom of the third.
Over the next few innings,
Ava Fair added a hit for the Falcons, but neither team scored as Messiah still led 4-0 heading into the sixth.
Lucy Murphy go on base with a two-out double to left field in the sixth inning. Murphy then moved to third on a wild pitch and
Josi Tolentino ripped an RBI single to add an insurance run for the Falcons. In the bottom of the sixth, the Red Devils got on the board, scoring two runs on four hits. The damage could've been worse, but
Brielle Rosario made a great throw from left field to catch a Dickinson runner out at home, keeping the score at 5-2.
Ava Fair reached first on a fielder's choice in the seventh and came around to score on a triple from
Fallon Feaser to make it 6-2. Feaser then pitched another scoreless inning in the circle to see out the 6-2 win.

Game Two: Messiah – 8, Dickinson – 3
Ava Fair singled in the top of the first but was thrown out trying to turn it into a double as the Falcons went down in order. The Red Devils then took their first lead of the day, scoring one run after a Falcons error.
Both pitchers found their rhythm over the next few innings, with no runs being scored.
Rebekah Wiley tripled in the second, and
Asia Harding singled in the third, but the Falcons failed to bring either of them home.
In the fourth,
Fallon Feaser sent a one-out single through the left side.
Rebekah Wiley then singled with two outs.
Lucy Murphy singled to left field, scoring Feaser.
Josi Tolentino then sent a triple into right field, clearing the bases to give Messiah a 3-1 lead. Back-to-back walks for
Asia Harding and
Kelli Durbin loaded the bases, and
Brielle Rosario singled down the left field line to score two, making it 5-1. Dickinson responded well, scoring two runs on one hit in the bottom half of the inning to make it 5-3, Messiah.
Rebekah Wiley added another hit in the top of the fifth, but the Falcons couldn't get the key hit to add on an insurance run.
After a scoreless inning in the circle for
Kelli Durbin,
Kylie Thompson walked and
Brielle Rosario reached base on a fielding error.
Fallon Feaser came up with two runners on and sent a 1-1 count pitch over the left field wall for a three-run homerun to make it 8-3.
Kelli Durbin saw out the game with two more scoreless innings, giving the Falcons an 8-3 win and double header sweep.
