2013-2014 Season - Junior
After sitting out the 2012-2013 season, David returned in 2013-2014, picking up where he left off in 2012. He appeared in 22 games, averaging 15.3 points and 5.2 rebounds per game. Fernandez was named to the First Team All-Commonwealth team as well as the Academic All-Conference team.

2012-2013 Season - Junior
David received a medical hardship his junior year and will be back in the 2013-14 season.

2011-2012 Season - Sophomore
Fernandez was the Falcons leading scorer in 11-12 as he averaged over 16 points per game, he also chipped in nearly five rebounds a game as well. His quickness and ability to attack the basket proved too much for defenders and helped Fernandez score in bunches at times. He shot .561 from the floor and had 33 steals, 23 blocks, and 76 assists during his 2nd season at Messiah. Fernandez was First Team All-Commonwealth in 2012 as well as a D-3hoops.com Second Team All-Region and an NABC Second Team All-District player. During the 2012 Commonwealth Championships Fernandez took home the tournaments Most-Outstanding Player Award.

2010-2011 Season - Freshman
In his freshman year David played in 25 games and started 19 games. He averaged 25 minutes a game and just under 11 points per contest. David shot 50% from the field and had 5 rebounds per game. He also added 47 assists and 23 steals.

Personal
David Fernandez is from Miami, Fla., and is a Business Administration major at Messiah. His hobbies include lifting, writing, snowboarding, diving, music, and shoe collecting. The person that David admires the most is his father. His favorite food is Osso Buco on a bed of risotto. The Dark Knight Trilogy are his favorite movies. If David could vacation anywhere he would go to Greece. In the future David plans to pursue professional aspirations and Law School.
