Chester, PA - The Falcons were shut down by the Widener Pride on Saturday evening 83-67. The Falcons struggled to get their offense going throughout the game, shooting just .396 from the field. David Fernandez-Brao led all scorers with 26 points. The Pride were paced by their .545 shooting percentage, that included a 9-15 mark from beyond the arc.
The Falcons scored the first points of the game, but the Pride tied it just 39 seconds later. After Widner took an early 5-2, they would not look back. In the first-half, the Pride built their lead to as many as 18 with 3:28 remaining, but the Falcons ended the half on a 9-0 run to cut the Pride lead to 30-21 at the break.

In the second-half the Falcons got it as close as seven just two minutes into the half, but the Pride went on a 25-12 run to open up a 20-point lead. The Pride grew their lead to as many as 27 points late in the half, eventually winning by a 83-67 final.
Widener had five players in double figures, while the Falcons had just two.

With the loss the Falcons move to 4-3 overall and 0-3 in the Commonwealth Conference. They next take the court on Wednesday, December 10 at Gettysburg College begining at 7:00 p.m.
