Glenside, PA - The Falcons fell to the Arcadia Knights 63-62 in a late game thriller. After a timeout with 13 seconds left and with the Knights trailing by one, Arcadia's Joe Brown drove down the middle of the lane and finished with his right hand to give the Knights the lead by one with just six seconds left in regulation. The Falcons had time for a final shot, but a long three from the top of the key by
Zac Hoy missed to the left as the buzzer sounded and the Falcons fell by a final of 63-62.
While the final 13 ticks of tonight's contest were exciting there was a long game of streaks that got the Falcons and Knights in a position for late-game heroics.
The Falcons took a nine-point lead into the half over the Knights thanks to quality shooting (55.6% in the first-half). In the first two minutes of the second-half the Falcons extended their lead to 13, however the Knights fought back.

Arcadia used a huge 29-7 run that spanned the majority of the second-half to take a nine-point advantage. The run lasted 12 minutes and in that stretch the Falcons shot just 3-13 from the field including a 1-6 mark from downtown. After the Knights' run, it was the Falcons turn to take charge.
Immediately after an Arcadia jumper gave the Knights a nine-point lead,
David Fernandez-Bravo made a fast-break layup on the right side and was fouled. He completed the three-point-play to cut the lead back to six. Just moments later,
Luke Cable forced a steal at the top of the key and went the other way for an uncontested layup.

For the next few minutes the Falcons and Knights traded buckets. With the Falcons trailing by four with just 1:12 left in the game,
Zac Hoy drove to the hole on the right side but missed his layup. However Hoy collected his own rebound and finished on the left side to bring the game within two.

With under a minute to go, Arcadia makes it 61-57 with a Travis Saltus layup. The Falcons miss a three from the right side and Arcadia collects the rebound. The Falcons immediately foul, but the Knights miss the front end of a one-and-one. On the ensuing possession Hoy drives with his left hand and makes a layup while being fouled. While Hoy misses his free throw, Fernandez-Bravo tips is out of the Knights hands and to teammate
Josh Clippinger who collects it and puts it in to tie the game with 22 seconds left. In the process Clippinger was fouled. He makes his free throw to give the Falcons the lead back for the first time in 10 minutes.

As mentioned the Knights made a lay-up with just seconds left, before the Falcons' final three missed the mark.

David Fernandez-Bravo (18 pts. and 10 rebs.) and
Geoff Boyle (10 pts. and 11 rebs.) collected double-doubles in the loss, while
Josh Clippinger and
Zac Hoy collected 14 and 12 points respectively in join them in double digits.

The loss moves the Falcons to 6-9 in the conference (13-10 overall) and out of contention of a Commonwealth Playoff birth. They will end their season at Hood College on Saturday, game time is set for 3:00 p.m.
