READING, Pa.- The Messiah women's track and field team finished with a team score of 61 to earn a fifth place finish at the MAC Championships. The Falcons earned a number of podium finishes Saturday, highlighted by a first-place finish in the 4x400 Meter Relay to conclude action on the track.

Pentathlon
Natalie Hamlen represented Messiah in the Pentathlon. Her combined score of 2522 was a lifetime best and earned her a fourth place finish. She started her day with an 11.00 in the 60 Meter Hurdles. A 1.37 clearance in the High Jump and 8.87 meter throw in the Shot Put pushed her halfway through her day. She jumped a distance of 4.57 meters in the Long Jump before ending with a 2:37.46 in the 800 Meter. Both her Shot Put and High Jump marks were new personal bests.

In the Field
Elena Vargas earned fourth place in the Triple Jump after reaching a mark of 10.83 meters.
Olivia Call joined her and finished with a mark of 9.62.

Call also competed in the High Jump, finishing at a height of 1.42 meters, tying her lifetime best.
Kara Brown finished with a clearance of 1.47.

Call was also a contestant in the Pole Vault, where she was joined by three other Falcons.
Cadee Wood and
Noelle Crowley finished with a height of 2.85 meters. Call and
Hannah Witter finished with a height of 2.70 meters.

Leah Ferster earned a seventh-place spot on the podium with a final distance and lifetime best of 10.42 in the Shot Put.

On the Track
Messiah placed two on the podium in the Mile Run with
Kate Dickow earning fourth with new personal best of 5:11.92 and
Katie Anthony earning seventh with a new personal best of 5:17.04.
Connor Coggins crosses the line in a time of 5:50.01.

Kara Brown tied her lifetime best in the 60 Meter Hurdle final, crossing the line in a time of 9.56 to earn fourth.

Emma Graybill earned a podium spot with an eighth place finish in the 400 Meter with a final time of 1:02.02.
Kerrigan Lebo (1:02.34) and
Clara Benner (1:05.22) both ran new personal best times.

Arwyn Gruenwald and
Halle Jennett each improved on their seed out of Friday's preliminary round. Gruenwald ran a new best time of 8.14 to finish sixth while Jennett finished in seventh with a time of 8.32.

In the 800 Meter,
Olivia Cory finished in a time of 2:33.88 and
Isabela Rodriguez finished in a time of 2:34.62.

Jennett added another seventh-place finish on her day with a time of 26.95 in the 200 Meter Dash.
Elena Vargas finished in a time of 27.05.

Seven Falcons competed in the 3000 Meter, highlighted by
Kate Dickow's fifth-place finish with a time of 10:34.36. Additional Falcons include Anthony (11:01.41),
Ali Schutte (personal best, 11:10.94),
Amber Swaisgood (personal best, 11:16.56), Coggins (11:21.91),
Teddi Powell (11:24.21), and
Amber Fogelsanger (11:30.12).

In the 4x800 Meter Relay, the team of
Julia Rickard,
Kathleen Walstrom,
Kiersten Burch, and
Laura Kruth combined for a time of 10:17.23 and earned a fourth place-finish.

The 4x400 Meter Relay team of Vargas, Jennett, Graybill, and Lebo capped of the weekend for Messiah with a first-place finish, combining for a time of 4:08.85.
