SELINSGROVE, Pa.- The Messiah women's track and field team traveled to the Garrett Sports Complex Field House for the Susquehanna Tune-Up on Saturday. A number of top-five finishes and MAC qualifying performances highlighted the day for the Falcons. Messiah will travel to Alvernia University next weekend for the MAC Championship Meet on Feb. 24-25.
 
Leading the way for the Falcon finishes was a one-wo finish in the 5000 Meter. 
Sarah Bath (20:27.52) and 
Allison Keller (21:20.39) earned first and second respectively. 
Abi Ferry added a fifth-place finish in the event with a time of 24:03.19. Bath's time qualified her for the conference championship meet.
 
Elena Vargas earned a second-place finish in the Triple Jump with a final distance of 10.67 meters. 
Emma Graybill finished with a mark of 9.49 meters.
 
In the Weight Throw, 
Leah Ferster set a new personal best. Her final mark of 12.77 meters is more than a meter farther than her previous best and moved her from sixth to third on the Indoor Top Ten list.
 
Kara Brown earned a third-place finish in the High Jump with a final height of 1.47 meters. 
Natalie Hamlen and 
Olivia Call both earned MAC qualifying jumps after clearing a height of 1.37 meters.
 
Pole Vault was highlighted by 
Noelle Crowley's jump of 2.90 meters that tied her for sixth and was a lifetime PR. 
Cadee Wood, 
Olivia Call, and 
Hannah Witter all reached a height of 2.60 meters. The clearance was an indoor PR and MAC qualifying performance for Witter.
 
Hamlen jumped a new indoor PR and tied her overall lifetime PR with a mark of 4.45 meters in the Long Jump.
 
Arwyn Gruenwald (8.22) and 
Halle Jennett (8.26) earned fourth and sixth respectively in the 60 Meter Dash. Gruenwald's time was a lifetime PR and improved her number nine spot on the Indoor Top Ten list. 
Gracie Barton's time of 8.97 was a lifetime PR.
 
Gruenwald added a fourth-place finish in the 200 Meter, crossing the line in a time of 28.00. 
Kerrigan Lebo finished in seventh with an indoor PR of 28.48, earning her a MAC qualification.
 
Messiah added another pair of top-five finishes in the 60 Meter Hurdles. 
Kara Brown (third, 9.65) and 
Claire Miller (fifth, 9.79) both ran well. 
Clara Benner earned a lifetime PR time of 10.33.
 
Emma Graybill (fourth, 1:02.21) and 
Kerrigan Lebo (fifth, 1:02.90) led the way for the Falcons in the 400 Meter. They were joined by 
Clara Benner (1:05.93), 
Lorelei Pryor (1:08.00) and 
Julia Rickard (1:08.80).
 
There were a number of highlights in the 800 Meter. 
Laura Kruth ran an indoor PR and earned sixth with a time of 2:29.76. 
Kiersten Burch added a 10th-place finish with an indoor PR and MAC qualifying time of 2:32.83. 
Isabela Rodriguez also ran a MAC qualifying time, crossing the line in a time of 2:33.70. Rounding out the large group of Falcons in the 800 Meter were 
Kathleen Walstrom (2:34.03), 
Alyssa Nori (2:35.72), 
Olivia Cory (2:36.54), 
Amber Fogelsanger (2:39.90), 
Linnea Haney (2:43.97), and 
Sarah Smith (2:48.29).
 
Connor Coggins (5:39.38) and 
Amber Swaisgood (5:41.75) both earned MAC qualifying times in the Mile. Coggins ran a season-best while Swaisgood ran a lifetime PR.
 
Kirsten Howland earned a sixth-place finish in the 3000 Meter with a time of 11:47.85. 
Jillian Brotherton ran a season-best time of 12:47.15 and 
Lexi Lapp ran a lifetime best of 13:49.06.
 
The 4x200 Meter Relay team of Jennett, Graybill, Miller and Vargas finished in a time of 1:49.14, which is number five on the Indoor Top Ten list.
 
Penn State Update
On Friday night, a small handful of student-athletes competed at Penn State. 
Kate Dickow earned a lifetime PR in the Mile, crossing the line in a time of 5:14.60. She improved her time on the Indoor Top Ten list and is in eighth.
 
Katie Anthony ran a lifetime PR in the 3000 Meter, finishing in a time of 10:44.82. Her time moved her to ninth on the Indoor Top Ten list.

The Falcons will travel to Alvernia University next Friday the 24th and Saturday the 25th for the MAC Championships.
